129795 Erte (romain De Tirtoff) Numbers:Bracelet Study c.1980 7 1/4'' x 4 1/2'' Gouache painting in color on laid paper. Signed in ink lower right with comments, "change the direction." Study for a bracelet inspired by "The Numerals." A unique work. Combined with an example of the jewelry work. Limited edition, signed. This extremely rare mixed-media painting was used as the study for the creation of a bracelet as designed by Erte. The artist, along with famed jewelry designer and artisan, Natalie Kane collaborated on the creation of the jewelry work. Erte designed more than one hundred works in jewelry and labored obsessively over the details of these highly sought-after objects. This unique mixed-media original, created as the study for the jewelry design of the same title, will maintain a temendous demand and historic significance for Erte collectors.
