128778 Erte (Romain de Tirtoff) Tempest Cuff Bracelet (State II) c.1979 6'' circumference x 2 1/4'' width Cuff bracelet in sterling silver with 14K gold, diamonds, black onyx, and mother-of-pearl. Stamped with the artist's signature, lower right. This bracelet is the second state of four works of jewelry Erte created in this series. The first state of the "Tempest" is a brooch/pendant and the third and fourth states are variants of the cuff bracelet. The 1978 serigraph print, "Tempest", which inspired Erte to create this bracelet, was originally based on the cover he designed for a 1930 issue of 'Harper's Bazaar'.
