167464 Rembrandt Van Rijn Clement de Jonghe, Printseller B., Holl. 272; H. 251; BB 51-C 1651 8 1/8'' x 6 1/2'' Etching with drypoint and burin on thin beige laid paper with threadbare margins. Some restoration along the bottom margin and upper right edge. Signed and dated in the plate, Rembrandt f. 1651, lower right. Biorklund Barnard's fifth state of six, Nowell Eusticke's seventh state of nine, before the triangular patch on chair is filled in, in the eigth state. A late seventh state impression as issued by Jean (1810) . According to Schwartz and Ash and Fletcher, De Jonghe's estate included upon his death in 1679, seventy four plates of Rembrandt's etchings.
