Signed and dated in the plate lower center, Rembrandt f. 1659. Biorklund Barnard's fourth state of four; Nowell Eusticke's sixth state of six, after the V shaped scratch on the second tree to the right of the building is burnished out and the sky is burnished clean. According to Nowell Eusticke, a sixth state impression as issued by Beaumont (1845-1906)) after the reworking of the plate in the dark shadows of the upper rught corner. nowell Eusticke refers to this sixth state impression as "very strong and dark". According to Schwartz, this is a depiction from the New Testament, Acts 3:1-8.
