99020 Max, Peter Angel with Heart 1999 30'' x 22 1/4'' Acrylic painting on paper. Signed in acrylic lower right. This painting is one of five unique and different works depicting Peter Max's famous iconographic image "Angel with Heart" which were created by Peter Max as a project for Park West Gallery. Elements of each of the five paintings were used by Max in creating other multiple original works. The multiple original works consist of lithographs, serigraphs, and mixed media paintings. The lithographs exist in the form of mixed media paintings with each work being totally unique. The serigraphs exist as hand signed limited edition works, hand signed limited edition works with individual unique remarques consisting of drawing, watercolor and serigraphy, and overpainted serigraphs where each of the works is totally unique. Due to the historical significance of this painting as one of only five variations used for the project to create the serigraphs and lithographs, it has become an important and collectable Peter Max original work.
