145888 Rembrandt Van Rijn Christ at Emmaus: Large Plate 1654 B.87; B.54-H; H.87 8 1/4'' x 6 3/8'' Etching on thin cream laid paper. Signed and dated in the plate lower left. Collector stamps on verso. From the third state of four according to Nowell Eusticke and from the Jean receuil as issued in 1810, showing the rounded corners as evident in this state. Formerly in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, N.Y. (Lugt supplement 1808h) and William Horne III (not in Lugt).
