179101 Rembrandt Van Rijn The Baptism of the Eunuch B., Holl. 98; BB 41-E 7 1/4'' x 8 1/2'' Etching on laid paper. Signed and dated in the plate, Rembrandt f. 1641, lower right. Biorklund Barnard's second state of two, White and Boon's second state of two, and Nowell Eusticke's thrid state of four, after the fine drypoint shading added to the hummock at right and on the cascade. According to Nowell Eusticke, a late third state impression as issued by H.L. Basan (1807) still showng the left-right diagonal slipt stroke to the right of the head of the standing man.
