157812 Rembrandt Van Rijn Old Beggar Woman with a Gourd c. 1630 B., Holl. 168; H. 80; BB 30-16 4'' x 1 3/4'' Etching on laid paper. Unsigned and undated. Nowell Eusticke's only state; Biorklund Barnard's second state (of two); White and Boon's second state (of two). After the plate was reduced from 106mm x 49mm to 103mm x 46mm. A first state intermediate impression from the ``Recueil de Quatre-Vingt-Cinq Estampes Originales'' as issued by P. F. Basan (1785-1797) with slightly ink plate edges and mpression strong and very dark. Burr on lines across bottom of the image and a small black spot below bottom line, about 1/4 inch from right edge.
