230727 Sport Memorabilia Ali/Frazier Getting Ready 16'' x 20'' Black and white photograph. Hand-signed by Muhammad Ali and numbered in gold ink. From a limited edition of 50 works numbered in Arabic. Example 50/50 of this hand-signed limited edition photograph is in the permanent collection on display in the Muhammad Ali Center in Louisville, Kentucky. These photographs have been signed exclusively for Park West Gallery. The original photograph was taken on December 30, 1970. With fingers pointing Muhammad Ali claims he is the true champion, and Joe Frazier, the recognized heavyweight titleholder, engage in a shouting match during a contract signing ceremony here December 30th. The two agreed to meet March 8th at Madison Square Garden to settle the matter in a bout that is assured of being the richest one-shot sporting event in history.
