The artist's intention in signing the work in this manner is to allow it to be presented in either a vertical or horizontal orientation. From the Arabic numbered edition of 140.(17 Arabic numbered artist's proofs and 3 Arabic numbered bon a tirer proof examples also exist). There is also an edition on canvas consisting of 60 Arabic numbered examples and 17 Arabic numbered artist's proofs. This edition is one of three editions created by the Artist based on the same image. The titles for the other two editions are Jesters in Motion and Whimsical Jesters. Each of the editions contains serigraphic variations in drawing and color. All of the editions are of the same dimensions. The edition Jesters in Motion is limited to 140 Arabic numbered examples, 19 Arabic numbered artist's proofs and 3 Arabic numbered bon a tirer proofs on wove paper and 60 Arabic numbered examples on canvas and 15 Arabic numbered artist proofs on canvas. Whimsical Jesters is limited to 140 Arabic numbered examples, 18 Arabic numbered artist's proofs and 3 Arabic numbered bon a tirer proofs on wove paper and 60 Arabic numbered examples on canvas and 12 Arabic numbered artist proofs on canvas.
