The gloves have been signed exclusively for Park West Gallery. In 1964 with a perfect record of 19-0, young boxer Cassius Clay was given the opportunity to fight the hard-fisting heavyweight champion, Sonny Liston. Many heavyweights were reluctant to face Liston due to his invincible knockout record. However, Clay jumped at the chance to fight the champion - and grab the spotlight that came with it. The two historic fights took place on February 25, 1964 in Miami Beach, Florida and on May 25, 1965 in Lewiston, Maine. When these gloves were signed by Muhammad Ali each were digitally photographed by OnlineAuthentics and assigned unique OnlineAuthentics numbers for each hand signature.
