One of the unique paintings created for the, "Ten Points of a Woman's Emotions" Series. For this deeply personal series, the artist interviewed a diverse group of ten women to aid in identifying ten of women's primary emotions. Glenn discovered that the responses of these various women were often times similar. Accordingly, the emotions: alluring, thankful, love, desire, determined, empowered, pain, frustration, powerless and anger were selected to be depicted in their own original work. The female form often takes center stage in the work of Marcus Glenn, but never before has the viewer been offered such a highly personal insight into a woman's emotions and feelings. The artist seems to have captured his subjects at the perfect moment, also encapsulating their emotions. Even as Glenn abstracts his background with his signature floorboards and bright color palette, he also incorporates the fundamental symbol of femininity and beauty, the flower, into the work. According to the artist, "the paintings came to life", as he has taken genuine feelings of actual women and represented them in a manner in which anyone viewing the painting can experience and understand.
