Sport Memorabilia

151251 Sport Memorabilia Sandy Koufax Signed Photograph 2005 30'' x 40'' Black and white photograph. Signed in ink lower center by Hall of Famer Sandy Koufax. From the edition of 405. Signed exclusively for Park West Gallery on April 4, 2005, in Vero Beach, Florida. Photograph comes with a seal which has a unique registration number. By using this number you can go to the registry at www.onlineauthentics.com and view the exact signed item. Only with this seal can you be assured the piece is authentic. Original photograph taken on September 9, 1965 in the dressing room in Los Angeles, California. Dodgers' pitcher Sandy Koufax holds up four balls with zeros on them, one for each of his no-hitters. Koufax threw his fourth no-hitter and downed the Chicago Cubs, 1-0, with a perfect game. Sandy Koufax's signature is exceedingly rare, as he strickly limits the number of items he signs a year, (typically only one signing a year), making this an extraordinary collecting opportunity. After Sandy Koufax tamed his fastball, he enjoyed a five-year stretch as perhaps the most dominating pitcher in baseball's history. He won 25 games three times, captured five straight ERA titles, and set a new standard with 382 strikeouts in 1965. His fastball and devastating curve enabled him to pitch no-hitters in four consecutive seasons, culminating with a perfect game in 1965. He posted a 0.95 ERA in four career World Series, leading the Dodgers to three championships.
